Kyle Busch Wins at Darlington; Impressive Race for David Ragan

Published by jeblin at 11:18 pm under Sprint Cup Series Edit This

Kyle Busch picked up yet another win tonight at Darlington, giving him three wins in the 2008 NASCAR season. This also helps pad his points lead over Jeff Burton. Early in the race Kyle complained of brake problems in his car and bounced off the wall several times, earning him a fairly deep “Darlington scratch”. David Ragan turned a few heads with a fifth place finish and spent most of the closing laps hovering in or near the top ten. That fifth place finish shot Ragan up into the top twelve drivers meaning that if the Chase started tomorrow, this rookie would have a place in the Chase. It will be interesting to see if he can hold onto that spot for the duration of the season.
